We had a wonderful time at The House Church in Eagan MN November 9, where we hosted an open house, seminar, and rehearsal workshop led by Kent Margraves of Meyer Sound!
With attendance at 80 plus, our exhibiting manufacturers and business partners were kept busy answering questions and showing new products. With many of these deployed as part of The House Church's new system, companies had the unique ability to provide practical demonstrations of their systems in use in a working environment.
Critical Listening Church Sound Workshop
Understanding what you are hearing is the first step to improving your church's worship experience. Kent Margraves of Meyer Sound delivered a terrific talk, with lots of illustrative examples, on developing your "critical listening" skills and it's importance in delivering the best possible sound quality to your audience or congregation.
Kent has made a career of managing the delicate blend of art and science that is front-of-house sound. He’s worked with a long list of notable artists and venues across the globe, led hundreds of audio seminars and workshops, and authored numerous trade articles and white papers.
Live Rehearsal Session
Following the church sound workshop event, The House Church tech director Chad Austin, along with their worship team also graciously agreed to allowed attendees to stay for their rehearsal, allowing Kent to share first hand knowledge about best practices and maximizing efficiency during an actual rehearsal.
