The PTZOptics 12x-SDI Gen2 is a professional-grade PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera designed for high-quality live streaming, broadcasting, and video conferencing. Featuring a 12x optical zoom lens and support for 1080p60/50 video, this versatile camera is ideal for houses of worship, corporate meetings, educational institutions, and live event production.
Equipped with a 3G-SDI output, the 12x-SDI Gen2 integrates seamlessly with broadcast switchers and production gear. It also offers HDMI, LAN (IP), and composite video outputs, with simultaneous streaming over SDI, HDMI, and IP at the same resolution. The LAN port supports H.264, H.265, and MJPEG streaming, and includes Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) for simplified installation.
The camera’s 3.5–42.3mm lens delivers a 12x zoom range, perfect for capturing both wide-angle group shots and tight close-ups. With a fast f/1.8–f/2.8 aperture and minimum illumination of just 0.5 lux, it performs exceptionally well in low-light environments. Built-in wide dynamic range (WDR) and 2D/3D noise reduction ensure crisp, clear video in challenging lighting conditions.
Designed for flexibility, the 12x-SDI Gen2 supports open-source control via HTML commands, RS-232 and RS-485 control, and ONVIF compatibility for integration with IP-based systems. It’s fully compatible with NewTek TriCaster systems, allowing for multi-camera control via DB9 or IP.
The camera includes a 3.5mm audio input for embedding audio into HDMI and IP streams, and a USB 2.0 port for firmware updates. It supports up to 64 presets (255 via RS-232) with 0.1° accuracy, and includes an IR remote for quick access to presets and settings. The camera can be desktop- or ceiling-mounted using an optional bracket.
