Sandy McCracken-Rootes
Project Administrator
As Project Administrator, Sandy is responsible for customer service, purchasing, shipping and receiving, coordinating installation schedules, contract/proposal preparation and sales assistance along with many other administrative duties. Her exceptional organizational skills enssure that each project runs smoothly from start to finish.
Sandy’s background includes over 8 years experience in the audio-visual field working with customers and project administration.
Paul Peterson
Project Manager
Paul is an accomplished professional with over 25 years management leadership and experience in all phases of engineering, project management, general management, operations and administration, strategic planning, directing new product development/research and development teams and streamlining internal systems. Paul led teams in the development of Special Build documentation, the delivery of Corporate Standards, and the creation of time-to-learning for the world’s largest maker of disk drives (Seagate). At Control Data, Paul implemented a new proto-type checkout strategy and generated start-up plans for numerous new computer systems.
Paul’s background originates from the United States Air Force, trained in electronics and focused on long-range radar. Paul has a MA from Bethel University, a BS from Northwestern College in Organizational Leadership and completed the Mini MBA and MMS from St Thomas University as well as numerous other course’s such as six-sigma. He has been involved in several mission trips to Alaska, the formation of Love INC of Northwest Ramsey County, and more than 17 years of experience leading audio enhancement within the church environment.
Scott Faloon
Engineer/Design
Scott has over eight years experience as a Design Engineer. He takes what begins as a “design concept” and translates that into a set of highly detailed and technically sound Construction Documents. In addition to his duties as a CAD technician Scott also provides Project Management, programming, testing and coordination on all projects as needed.
Scott served in the United States Air Force for eight years prior to joining AVE. He worked in the field of Signals Intelligence at the National Security Agency. His AutoCAD training was gained at Minneapolis Drafting School and near completion of a BA in psychology from Metropolitan State University.
Tedd Enger
Lead Technician
Tedd is the Lead Technician and is responsible for the overall installation of each audio, video and lighting system. His job included reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics and blueprints; pulling of electronic cabling; wiring and installation of hardware; operation of cable and hardware test equipment; meeting all installation deadlines; compliance with company’s and customer’s safety programs; customer training; troubleshooting and service.
Tedd’s education background includes electronic systems training at the NEI College of Technology in Columbia Heights, MN, and over 7 years experience in the low-voltage field including a/v systems, security systems and telecommunications. Some of his industry training includes certification in HDTV Improv., Video Technologies, RF Technology Essentials & Theory, Real World Audio Tuning, and Audio Technology from CEDIA, and certification through the Extron Institute in A/V Technologies as well as holding a Power Limited Technician License through the state of Minnesota. Tedd is currently enrolled in the 4-year EST Certification Program administrated by the National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA). Tedd is also known for his talent as Lead Vocalist and songwriter for Undying Anthem, a local and national band.
Adam Knebel
Lead Technician
Adam is a Lead Technician and is responsible for the overall installation of each audio, video and lighting system. His job includes: reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics and blueprints; pulling of electronic cabling; wiring and installation of hardware; operation of cable and hardware test equipment; meeting all installation deadlines; compliance with company’s and customer’s safety programs; customer training; troubleshooting and service.
Adam is a graduate of Ridgewater College in Hutchinson, MN in the AES Audio Technology program. With over three years in the field, Adam has experience in new construction and retrofit installations as well as system troubleshooting and maintenance. Industry training includes Extron school of A/V technologies and is a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) through International Communication Industry’s Association (ICIA). He is also starting continuing education with the 4-year EST program administrated by National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA).
Tony Becker
Electronic Systems Technician
Tony is responsible for the installation and troubleshooting of all audio, video and lighting equipment. His responsibilities include: pulling of electronic cable; wiring and installation of hardware; operation of cable test equipment; meet all installation deadlines; compliance with company’s and customer’s safety programs.
Tony received his AAS degree in Audio Technology at Ridgewater College in Hutchinson, MN. Some of his related courses include Sound Reinforcement, Audio Signal Processing, Intro to Recording, DC/AC Circuits, Digital Circuits, Transistor Fundamentals, Operational Amps, Audio Transducers and Console Operations. Tony also served on the committee for the Student Chapter of the Audio Engineering Society and is also enrolled in the 4-year EST Certification Program administrated by the National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA).
Vickie Lind
Controller/Accounting
Vickie has over 20 years experience directing accounting, finances, human resources and office management in several different industries. Vickie started within a large non-profit corporation working in an environment of professionalism and accountability, but changed focus to work with emerging businesses as they develop and grow. Vickie manages the day-to-day operations of accounting, billing and payroll in addition to planning the long-term financial goals for AVE.
Vickie’s educational background is in Business Management and Financing Independent Business from Metropolitan State University and she has had the privilege of working with the Small Business Management Center at the University of St. Thomas.
